The Romea Germanica Imperiale Way allows you to cross an extremely diverse landscape, ranging from the Alpine valleys to the mountains of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, enabling visitors to explore the city of Modena along with the small mountain villages of the Apennines.

Day 1: Saturday Pavullo - Montecreto 23km
08:00 Meeting at Pavullo airport

Leaving Pavullo, the route immediately ascends towards the Montecuccoli Castle, then descends passing by two historical constructions: the Pieve di Renno and the Olina Bridge. The subsequent stretch ascends the valley through the forest until reaching Montecreto.
Overnight at Residence Margherita 

Long but very scenic stage.

Day 2: Sunday Montecreto - Fiumalbo - 20km

The mountain stage, is not overly long but challenging due to significant elevation gain, which rewards the efforts made. Starting from Residence Margherita, you traverse ancient wooded trails, cross historic bridges like the Ponte della Fola, and pass through small villages like Riolunato and Pievepelago until reaching the beautiful village of Fiumalbo, a designated Orange Flag location.

Route Details

Total kilometers of the stages: 50km

Difficulty: MEDIUM - Excellent physical preparation and habit of walking on mountain trails and tackling challenging elevation gain.

Price per person: €165.00 per person

Included in the package:

  • Certified environmental hiking guide for the entire journey;
  • overnight stay in a shared room for 1 night with half board including dinner and breakfast;
  • possibility of a single room upon request;
  • return transportation from Fiumalbo to Pavullo.

Not included in the package:

  • transportation to Pavullo;
  • packed lunches;
  • accident insurance;
  • anything not expressly mentioned under "not included in the package".

BOOKING PROCEDURE

Booking is mandatory within two weeks from the departure date, by clicking on the "Book Now" button on this page.

The activity will be confirmed upon reaching at least 6 participants within the two weeks prior to the departure date. After this date, in case of cancellation by the customer, no refunds will be issued. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the tour in case of adverse weather conditions and force majeure events. In such cases, the paid fee will be fully refunded.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Free cancellation up to 15 days before the tour, for cancellations beyond this date, 50% of the total amount will be retained; in case of cancellation within 48 hours before departure or No Show, the paid amount will not be refunded.
